EUSA leadership receives $95,000 in student fees

Health and wellness center receives $39,000, computer lab $45,000 and retention initiative $50,000, student center bond $90,000

It is disappointing to students when they are assessed student fees that, with the years, seem to steadily grow. Wouldn’t it be nice to know where your $200 fees goes each semester?

This a summary of how much each departments receives from student fees for the 2009–2010 and 2010–2011 academic years at USU-CEU.

1) ASCEU Leadership: received $95,390 for the 09–10 year from student fees, had $3,053 from other forms of income and an over-all balance of $68,539; received $88,445 for the 10–11 year from student fees, has $3,369 from other forms of income and has an over-all balance of $160,223.

2) Health and wellness center: received $39,243 for the 09–10 year from student fees, had $36,748 from other forms of income and had an over-all balance of $70,077; received $36,479 for the 10–11 year, has $15,202 from other forms of income and has an over-all balance of $95,358.

3) Computer lab: received $45,216 for the 09–10 year from student fees, had no other form of income and had an over-all balance of $44,028; received $42,564 for the 10–11 year from student fees, has no other form of income and has an over-all balance of $80,785.

4) Student orientation: received $8,493 for the 09–10 year from student fees, had $8,868 from other forms of income and had an over-all balance of $42,271; received $7,787 for the 10-11 year from student fees, has $7,912 from other forms of income and has an over-all balance of $54,377.

5) Retention initiative: received $50,019 for the 09–10 year from student fees, had no other form of income and had an over-all balance of $43,671; received $44,510 for the 10–11 year from student fees, has no other form of income and has an over-all balance of $3,414.

6) Legacy: received $11,902 for the 09–10 year from student fees, had no other form of income and had an over-all balance of $28,787; received $11,051.84 for the 10–11 year from student fees, has no other form of income and has an over-all balance of $39,839.

7) Campus police: received $12,454 for the 09–10 year from student fees, had no other form of income and had an over-all balance of $11,126; received $11,484 for the 10–11 year from student fees, has no other form of income and has an over-all balance of $22,610.

8) KCEU Radio: received $4,626 for the 09–10 year, had $2,135 from other forms of income and had an over-all balance of $15,022; received $4,4323 for the 10–11 year from student fees, has no other form of income and has an over-all balance of $17,722.

9) Super activity: received $8,331 for the 09–10 year from student fees, had $789 from other forms of income and had an over-all balance of $7,194; received $7,737 for the 10–11 year from student fees, has no other form of income and has an over-all balance of $14,930.

10) Student newspaper: received $10,926 for the 09–10 year from student fees, had $4,521 from other forms of income and had an over-all balance of $2,196; received $9,730 for the 10 – 11 year, has $5,011 from other forms of income and has an over-all balance of $11,752.

11) Student recognition: received $4,883 for the 09 – 10 year from student fees, had no other form of income and had an over-all balance of $9,626; received $4,535 for the 10 – 11 year from student fees, has no other form of income and has an over-all balance of $11,635.74.

12) Counseling Center: received $7,739.46 for the 09 – 10 year from student fees, had no other form of income and had an over-all balance of $5,053.12; received $7,177.13 for the 10 – 11 year from student fees, has no other form of income and has an over-all balance of $10,236.11.

13) Student Center bond: received $90,489.69 for the 09 – 10 year from student fees, had no other form of income and had an over-all balance of $564,285.42; received $84, 068.75 for the 10 – 11 year from student fees, has no other form of income and has an over-all balance of $648,354.17.

14) Student Activity Card: received$2,547.94 for the 09 – 10 year from student fees, had no other form of income and had an over-all balance of $3,012.76; received $2,394.84 for the 10 – 11 year, has no other form of income and has an over-all balance of $5,407.60.

15) Museum: received $2,371.61 for the 09 – 10 year from student fees, had no other form of income and had an over-all balance of $2,599.19; received $2,210.37 for the 10 – 11 year from student fees, has no other form of income and has an over-all balance of $4,187.27.

16) Intra and Extramural sports: received $14,266.344 for the 09 – 10 year from student fees, had -$176.18 from other forms of income and had an over-all balance of $713.04; received $13,282.94 for the 10 – 11 year, has $658.00 from other forms of income and has an over-all balance of $3,395.61.

17) SUN Center: received $3,084.69 for the 09 – 10 year from student fees, had no other form of income and had an over-all balance of $924.45; received $2,756.13 for the 10 – 11 year from student fees, has no other form of income and has an over-all balance of $2,342.05.

18) Athletic student fees: received $23,812.69 for the 09 – 10 year from student fees, had no other form of income and had an over-all balance of $23,812.69; received $22,159.00 for the 10 – 11 year from student fees, had no other form of income and had an over-all balance of $22,159.00.

19) Student Center: received $36,382.89 for the 09 – 10 year from student fees, had $20,594.06 from other forms of income and had an over-all balance of -$77,099.82; received $33,751.28 for the 10 – 11 year from student fees, has $520.00 from other forms of income and has an over-all balance of -$46,295.44.

20) BDAC: received $4,907.13 for the 09 – 10 year from student fees, had $39,632.60 from other forms of income and had an over-all balance of -$187,914.08; received $4,439.98 for the 10 – 11 year from student fees, has $187,914.08 from other forms of income and has an over-all balance of -$200,489.05.
