Former BB player earns doctorate

Congratulations are in order to former College of Eastern Utah basketball player Michael Marion Jr. who is graduating from the University of Southern California with his doctor of education degree and an emphasis in higher administration on Thursday, May 15 in Los Angeles, Calif.


Marion played for former CEU basketball coach Bryan Zollinger in 1997-99 where he is the ninth leading all-time scorer for the Eagles with 936 points and named Best All-Around Basketball player in 97-98. After CEU he played two years for San Diego State University.

Is this really with reporting. Do we thing that athletes can not earn doctorates, so when they do we are so amazed we have to put it in the news paper.
