In celebration of Black History Month, the College of Eastern Utah Library staff would like to invite all students, faculty and staff to visit the library to check into and check out materials related to Black History Month. The library has works and information on several Black American artists, poets, scientists, educators and others, as well as important movements and eras in Black history. The library also has several database articles and electronic resources for further information on this topic and others.
Here are titles of just some items available at the library.
Books: The Autobiography of Martin Luther King Jr. ed. Clayborne Carson, The Harlem Renaissance by Andy Koopmans, Langston Hughes and the Blues by Steven C. Tracey, Parting the Waters: America in the King Years, 1954-63 by Taylor Branch, and Time of Change: Civil Rights Photographs 1961-1965 by Bruce Davidson.
DVD/VHS: Against the Odds: the Artists of the Harlem Renaissance (PBS/DVD), Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. A Historical Perspective, Directed by Thomas Friedman (DVD), Citizen King by Orlando Bagwell and W. Noland Walker.
