Q & A with Assistant Coach Anthony Owens

An assistant coach is a major part of the puzzle to put together a winning team. Recruiting is as big as a part as everything else and with the help of coach Anthony Owens at CEU has a huge step up.

Q: Where is your home town?

A: Searcy Arkansas

Q: What did you do there?

A; Got in a lot of trouble and went to Little Rock.

Q: What sports did you play in high school and college?

A: Track and basketball in high school and basketball in college

Q: Where did you play college ball?

A: University of Arkansas, Fort Smith, and University of Great Falls, Montana

Q: Why did you decide to come to CEU?

A: Me and Coach Craig's relationship

Q: What is your favorite sports team?

A: The Rockets

Q: What is your favorite part of CEU?

A: The people are very nice and caring

Q: Where is your favorite place to recruit?

A: Vegas

Q: What is your favorite part of being a assistant coach?

A: Building a relationship with the kids and the parents.

Q: How many years have you coached?

A: 3

Q: What is your favorite game this year?

A: The second half of the CSI game.

Q: What do you do for fun on the weekends?

A: Play ball and recruit

Q: Do you see yourself being a head coach in the future?

A: I do defiantly.

Q: What song on your iPod would most people be shocked to see?

A: Well, I don't have my iPod but I just got a lot of hip hop.

Q: Do you think that you have grown as a coach this year?

A: I think as a coach you have to grow every year so that you can become better.
